About NOAR (Youth) BAS:

The Bet Am Shalom Youth Group is called Noar BAS. "Noar" means Youth in Hebrew. We have two groups:

  • The Junior group for 5-7 graders
  • The Senior group for 8-12 graders - Ages 13 and up, please look for us on facebook under 'NOAR BAS'

Noar BAS meets at least once a month, on Sunday:

  • NOAR Jr meets from 5:00- 6:15pm
  • NOAR Sr meets from 6:30- 8:00 pm
  • NOAR Sr Va’ad (youth board) meets weekly to help plan and lead our events.

Why join NOAR BAS?

  • To develop and strengthen friendships and social bonds
  • To become leaders
  • To celebrate, enjoy and learn more about Jewish Life
  • To become actively involved in local, national and global communities including BAS, JRF, New York, Israel, Darfur etc.

Who attends NOAR BAS events?

Students in grades 5-12 either alone or with a friend (non-members welcome!).  Enjoy our company, make the world a better place, laugh, meet Israeli kids together via webcam, discuss hot topics, celebrate a holiday, take charge and give back, go into the city, bake together, meet Reconstructionist teens from other shuls and so much more.

Where do many of our youth spend their summers?
At Camp JRF, of course!
