We are planning a return trip to New Orleans from January 23 – January 27, 2012 to work once again with the wonderful organization - The St. Bernard Project. We hope you can join us.
Tremendous strides have been made in the past six years but there is still a lot of rebuilding to be done. And, volunteers are still needed to make it happen.
The St. Bernard Project’s Rebuilding Program builds homes for senior citizens, people with disabilities and families with children who cannot afford to have their homes rebuilt by contractors in St. Bernard Parish, one of the hardest hit communities. They provide an excellent orientation, tools, supplies and site supervision to make the volunteer experience safe, productive and meaningful.
Absolutely no previous experience is necessary! On-site orientation, tools, supplies and supervision are provided to make the volunteer experience safe, productive and meaningful.
For more information about the St. Bernard Project, you can visit their web site at http://www.stbernardproject.org/.
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Bienville House in the French Quarter at a reduced group rate. Volunteers will be responsible for booking their own hotel and travel arrangements. Registration deadline is December 31, 2011.
